This past Sunday we reached a milestone in the Trinity Central story.
This church family started in early 2012, as a church planting team came together and began to build a new community in the heart of Vancouver. That journey has been one filled with faith adventure, as people have responded to God’s call from far and near to join Jesus in His mission in Vancouver and beyond.
It was an amazing thing to hear the many stories of transformation, of belonging, of hope, and of finding community this past Sunday. God’s grace and faithfulness toward us has been immense!
As we appointed elders in the church we moved from being a church plant, led by an apostolic team, to a church, led by a team of elders.
The foundation has been laid… Now it is time to see the church built and the Kingdom advance. Jesus said: I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!” We’re excited to see what He will build! Each of us are those living stones, having our lives fitted together by a master-Builder! As He puts each of us in place a magnificent temple is built to His glory!
It’s not magnificent because we are impressive… it’s magnificent because He is building us into a dwelling place for God on the earth, we are a people inhabited by God’s Spirit.
We are so grateful for every person who has played a part in the Trinity Central adventure. Every person who has served, who has loved, who has given, who has stepped forward in faith. We are so grateful for the apostolic team who have served us, challenged us, and cared for us along the way. We are so grateful for Christ Central Church in Fredericton, who have made so much of this possible!
Most of all, we are grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ, who has saved each of us and brought us together in His purposes. He is our Senior Pastor, our Great Shepherd. He started the mission we find ourselves a part of today over 2,000 years ago, and He continues that mission through us, and many many other churches, by the power of His Spirit.
This is just the beginning! We can do more together than we can do apart. What will the future hold?
