What’s going on in Trinity Central this December?
December is the month of celebration. At Trinity Central we’re looking forward to a joyful and busy month –
December 2 – 7 : Guests at Trinity Central
We’re starting off December by welcoming several guests who are coming to spend a number of days with us.
Martin Charlesworth and Rob Horn are coming from the UK. Martin is known to some of us as he oversees and teaches much of the School of Leadership material. Martin also heads up Jubilee Plus, an organisation that advises churches, non-profit organizations, policy groups and government on matters of poverty.
Rob Horn oversees the Christ Central church planting in Scandinavia and Cumbria, and has himself planted a number of churches.
We’ve taken the opportunity to use their visit as a training and encouragement event for some of the church plants with whom we are connected. And so the leaders of three church plants in Toronto and Calgary will also be joining us for a couple of days of church planting coaching and encouragement.
This is a breakdown of their time with us:
Thursday 3 & Friday 4 December – Rhys and James will have time with Martin & Rob, Jeremy Little, Corey Stickle and Ant Dube, talking together about church planting and praying together.
Saturday 5 December – Martin will be teaching our School of Leadership
Sunday 6 December – 10.30am Martin is the guest preacher in Trinity Central’s morning service.
Sunday 6 December – 7pm at the Roundhouse, our monthly prayer meeting, particularly focussing on church planting.
Monday 7 December – 7.30pm at the Roundhouse, an opportunity to meet with Martin and discuss how the church can respond to the needs in a healthy and sustainable manner. Anyone with a heart for the poor and disadvantaged is invited to join us.
December 13 : Dedications
During the Sunday morning service on 13 December we will be dedicating some of our children.
December 20 : Christmas service
Celebrating Christmas with joyful family worship, followed by festive refreshments!
