Come give thanks for our new babies Dec. 10We have been blessed with loads of babies in the past year or so, and on December 10th we will be taking some time in our morning service at Yaletown to celebrate these little people and welcome them to our community. There will be the usual worship time, a short preach, and we will end with the parents (and the church) committing to raising these kids in a God-honouring way. |
Carol Service Dec. 17 – everybody welcomeThis year we are doing a carol service at both our morning service in Yaletown and our evening service at UBC. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend/family member who might not normally come. There will be a fabulous Christmas choir, lots of carols both ancient and modern, a reading of the Christmas story and a short preach. Plus, there will be festive refreshments served before the services from 10:15am and 6:15 pm. |
Serve others by being a Christmas Dinner helperOnce again, Doreen will be throwing Christmas dinners for her tenants. Doreen is a manager for B.C. Housing which provides subsidized housing for the less fortunate. For many of these people this will be their only Christmas dinner so it would be great to make this really special. There are two opportunities to serve:
December 23 “Potluck” Christmas Dinner – 5pm start, 6pm dinner
